WHEN LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK HOW HAVE YOU IMPROVED YOUR WORK?

Our finished horror OTS
Here is both our bad prelim and then followed by our good prelim
This  shows the comparison between our finished, professional looking opening title sequence and then both our bad and good prelim. You can clearly see how we developed all of our skills and knowledge in order to get the best result in a way that we thought would please the audience in every way possible. Within our OTS we have a lot more steadier shots which compliments with the use of  better lighting which is perfect for the horror genre. We also expanded away from the classroom setting towards the more stereotypical horror setting be anything with a creepy atmosphere to it. So for example, we filmed our OTS in a tool woodwork shop in which in the background you can see many tools which could be used for torture, which is what we tried to show and did incorporate into out OTS. Despite our OTS taking a longer time to film, you can clearly see the difference between the mediocre style of filming and then a very good looking sequence of scenes with a brief knowledge of what is happening.

Within our OTS we included the use of our production company titles and our distribution company titles, whereas our prelim did not. This, from the moment it started, gave a more professional outlook on the OTS and not the plain and boring prelim. We managed to do this by making our own distribution and production company titles to represent the organisations associated with the film. Also within our prelim we did not include any use of sound which resulted in background noise which could be heard fairly easily. This differs to our OTS which had the correct sound fitted on top of the scenes playing. This allowed for a more dramatic effect and outlook on the OTS.
